Exploratory analysis of CSR digitization in Senegalese SMEs

The digitalization of CSR is a major concern in the business strategy. However, few studies address this issue in the context of SMEs operating in developing countries. The objective of this article is to analyze the level of digitalization of CSR in Senegalese SMEs. Through an exploratory qualitative approach, we conducted semi-structured interviews with 13 leaders of Senegalese SMEs. The results indicate that the digitalization of CSR in these SMEs remains low and is manifested through the publication of detailed reports on CSR activities, the use of digital tools in the production chain (drones, applications, software, waste sorting machines), the integration of digital technology in the work of workers, and the use of the web.
