<br/><br/> The history of the modern neo-scolastic movement, which is not identifiable in all points with Thomism and the magna carta of which was Æterni Patris was implemented in the Second Vatican Council. The article endea-vours to define the characteristics of this neo-scolasticism and the central rôle played in it by the subject of “pure nature”, thus formulating several points to which a theology in a situation of diaspora should be attentive.
