The Faces of Medicine
- 2013.
2
If medicine is the science of life in the sense of tending life, the simple act of trying to understand it, to shape it into a subject of research and consciousness would deprive it of its vital spark. Subsequently, locked into a game of rationality, the question of an epistemology of this science arises: medicine, when submitted to reason, loses its essence. This is an intellectual bias that traditional medicine avoids in its cosmogonist vision of nature, being, death, and life.
