The exponential growth of images produced and distributed by the digital media, raises a considerable number of issues to the intellectual debate. Most of Instagram’s images principally shows the simple daily activities of the social networks users. Since the spread of photographic devices, the image is increasingly present in our routine, and it pushes us to pose the main research question: after orality and writing, is the image the heart of the “grammar” of our knowledge? To answer this question, we must look at the experience of the image on social networks, following the main theories of mediological studies.
