N1 - 48 N2 - The main French business organization, the CNPF/MEDEF, is generally considered to be the representative of French business. Yet other kinds of business collective actions exist, such as the sociability and thinking movements. The Center for Young Leaders (Centre des jeunes dirigeants - CJD) is one of these movements. Its members are high-level employees, ­managers or engineers ­who are starting to become business leaders. They participate in the CJD's activities to obtain the resources that they need for this transition. Thus, it can be defined as a business socialization movement, in other words as a movement producing business leaders. Moreover, by taking part in these activities, some members earn a reputation for activism, which drives them to become leaders of business organizations, not only of the CJD but also, over time, of other collective business organizations.
