Ethics of Responsibility . . . versus CSR?
- 2009.

The ethical actions of businesses is evidence of the collective realization of the almost complete absence of ethical principals accompanying the internationalization of exchanges, but also of the unsuitability of methods of bureaucratic regulation provided by the Nation-States. Through a “civilist” analysis of the organization, the author demonstrates the need to redefine the ethics of decision-making in the face of the contemporary environmental and social challenges. The ethics of responsibility, as defined by Max Weber, provides a more significant heuristic basis than corporate social responsibility, provided that it is modified by certain institutional initiatives.
