- 2009.

The Direction départementale des affaires sanitaires et sociales (DDASS) of the Finistère region of France in cooperation with first-aid workers, city hall, and police headquarters has developed and refined a method for conducting medical evacuations of residents during demining in the Brest area. It consists of conducting a census of the population in their place of residence, identifying hospitalization needs, and organizing their management and care provided by first-aid workers. In practice since 2003, this method relies on tools created by the DDASS. It is frequently used, and has proven its effectiveness.
