N1 - 52 N2 - Maternal mortality constitutes a major public health problem in Côte d’Ivoire. Better management of pregnant patients and improved quality of pre-natal consultations could contribute to solving this problem. What is the current situation of these prenatal consultations in Grand-Bassam? To answer this question, a descriptive cross-sectional study was carried out between August 26 and September 30, 2002, in three medical establishments in charge of prenatal consultations in that district. It was noted that although privacy and confidentiality during the examination were respected, the facilities were sometimes unsuitable and insufficiently equipped. Moreover, the healthcare professionals were not very accessible or friendly, and they had poor interpersonal communication skills. Recommendations were made to remedy these insufficiencies UR - https://shs.cairn.info/journal-sante-publique-2010-2-page-221?lang=en&redirect-ssocas=7080 ER -
