Restructuring the psychological contract in the face of social regulation: The case of a non-profit nursing home - 2023.

15

The COVID-19 pandemic that hit nursing homes in France has profoundly changed the practices of these health sector organizations. This qualitative research, of a longitudinal nature, aims to identify changes to the terms of the psychological contracts of people working in a non-profit nursing home. The results of the thirty-three interviews carried out before and after the onset of the health crisis make it possible to understand how employees adjust their individual criteria when faced with new organizational imperatives caused by the crisis. We rely on the conceptual frameworks of adaptation and social regulation, within the framework of a methodological triangulation, in order to determine the influence of these individual criteria and other organizational criteria on the process of adapting and restructuring the content of the psychological contracts of those working in the establishment.
