N2  - L’article est une lecture de Kruso (2014), premier roman du poète Lutz Seiler, en regard d’autres romans envisagés ici comme des architextes dont la quête et l’exigence renvoient aux liens entre la littérature et la vie. Dans le roman proustien d’une part, la remémoration de la vie passée est condition du devenir écrivain et repose sur une opposition entre la vie et l’art ; cet aspect met également en œuvre un rapport complexe entre roman et autobiographie. Le roman romantique allemand, d’autre part, est la tentative de réaliser l’ambition d’unifier l’art et la vie, au lieu de les séparer, ambition d’une poésie universelle qui transcende l’opposition générique entre roman et poème au profit du premier. L’article cherche à éclairer le roman de Seiler à partir de ces tensions, avec une ouverture sur le deuxième roman Stern 111 (2020); This article offers a reading of Lutz Seiler’s debut novel Kruso (2014), by drawing upon a choice of novels viewed as architexts whose quest and requirement point out to the connection between life and literature. On the one hand, in the Proustian novel, the recollection of things past is a condition for becoming a writer and is based upon an opposition of life and art; this aspect also implements a complex relationship between novel and autobiography. The German romantic novel, on the other hand, is the attempt to unite life and art, rather than to divide them. It is an ambitious project of universal poetry aiming to transcend the generic boundaries between poem and novel for the benefit of the latter. The article sheds a new light on Kruso by focusing on these tensions, while giving an outlook on Seiler’s second novel, Stern 111 (2020)
