<br/><br/> Souvent, en consultation adoption internationale, les parents comme les enfants nous parlent de culture. De la culture d’origine des enfants, et des représentations qu’ils y associent. Cet article est un travail clinique, auprès de Lila et de sa mère, qui tente de repérer ce que recouvrent ces éléments culturels, d’en saisir la fonction psychique. Puis nous tentons des hypothèses plus généralistes. La construction identitaire des enfants adoptés, via leur filiation comme leurs affiliations, se nourrit de représentations culturelles parfois écran, néanmoins point d’appui possible pour penser leur métissage. The meaning of cultural elements in the clinic of adoptionOften during a consultation over international adoption the parents, like the children, talk to us about culture, the original culture of the children and the representations that they associate with it. This article is a clinical work, with Lila and her mother, which attempts to identify what these cultural elements cover and grasp the psychic function of it. Then we will put forward some more generalized hypotheses. The construction of identity of adopted children, via their filiation and affiliation, feeds on cultural representations which are sometimes just fronts, yet possible pivots to think out their mix.
