<br/><br/> À travers l’analyse de la figure tragique du séducteur, sous son versant obsessionnel et hystérique, je voudrais montrer comment ses agissements dévoilent sa difficulté à s’assumer dans son désir, et en particulier, dans son désir vis-à-vis d’une femme. Selon notre hypothèse, le donjuanisme n’est pas de structure pour l’homme, mais il peut se présenter comme un symptôme, ancré à la question paternelle, non résolue.  Through the analysis of the tragic figure of the seducer, in his obsessional and hysterical aspects, I would like to show how his schemes reveal his difficulty assuming his desire, and in particular, his desire towards a woman. According to our hypothesis, the Don Juan’s character is not part of the structure for the man, but it can present itself as a symptom, anchored in the paternal, not resolute question of the subject.
