<br/><br/> Based on the writings of Maud Mannoni, the aim here is to explore the elements of her personal history that shed light on her future as a psychoanalyst. Her early childhood in Sri Lanka, her wandering in the Netherlands, and her studies against the backdrop of the Second World War are presented as elements of meaning, which she was able to put to work during her various periods of analysis. Maud Mannoni asks the question: “What made me an analyst?” We will add to this: “What made her ethics unique in her work with patients?”  À l’appui des écrits de Maud Mannoni, il s’agit ici de parcourir les éléments de son histoire personnelle nous éclairant sur son devenir de psychanalyste. Son enfance tout d’abord au Sri Lanka, l’errance aux Pays-Bas puis ses études sous fond de seconde guerre mondiale nous sont livrées comme éléments de mise en sens, c’est ce qu’elle a pu mettre au travail lors de ses différentes tranches d’analyse. Maud Mannoni pose la question « Qu’est-ce qui a fait de moi une analyste ? » Nous rajouterons à cela : « Qu’est-ce qui a fait la singularité de son éthique dans le travail élaboré avec les patients ? »
