<br/><br/> This article explores Octave Mannoni’s contributions to psychoanalysis, particularly his concept of “The original analysis”. Mannoni revisits Freud’s ideas, enriching them with a new perspective where the concept of transference is central. According to Mannoni, transference allows the meeting of a dual knowledge: an acquired scientific knowledge and knowledge from the unconscious. This dual knowledge is essential for understanding psychoanalytic processes. Freud, through his exchanges with Fliess and his own psychic work, was able to highlight the dynamics of this knowledge.
