Clinical Analysis, Structure, and Discourse: From Empiricism to Formalization in Psychoanalysis - 2009.

The teaching of Lacan was based on an axiom—“the Unconscious, structured like a language”—and a program—the formalization of psychoanalysis. Initially, this attempt led to the formalization of the language structure. Then, Lacan privileged another approach: psychoanalysis as praxis, a social bond founded on language—i.e., a discourse. Even from this angle, its formalization remains necessary because it is interdependent with the “theory of the matheme,” with the aim of a complete transmission.
