À partir d’un quartier de la banlieue d’Angoulême, le processus de ghettoïsation est appréhendé sous un angle sociohistorique et sociologique. La place de ceux qui y habitent met en exergue l’ambivalence des acteurs dans leurs rapports au quotidien du quartier. La question de l’institutionnalisation des territoires est passée au prisme goffmanien pour une lecture des capacités d’action en jeu dans certaines cités françaises.  Ambivalences of words of a ghettoized neighborhood’s inhabitants Doing the estate over means understanding its history and evolution. From a neighborhood of the Angouleme suburbs, the process of ghettoization is apprehended under a sociohistorical and sociological perspective. The place of those who live there highlights the ambivalence of the actors in their everyday relations in the neighborhood. The issue of the institutionalization of the territories passed through the Goffmanian prism for a reading of the action capacities at stake in some French estates.
