Freud is usually described as a quiet teenager. However, we maintain that during his adolescence and its aftermath, a psychic conflict was repeated in his bonds, with both men and women. The passional desire to find an alter ego led to confusion between him and the Other, a source of intense conflicts, in a double relationship that did not exclude the possibility of duplication. This tension emerged during adolescence, between confusion and differentiation, becoming one of the central elements of Freud’s personality.
