In God’s name: how to represent Christ ?

<br/><br/> How do we represent, i.e. make Christ present here below? Representation must show what cannot be seen, without shielding it. This study shows that we can only represent Christ well if we know that we never represent Him alone: representation is ecclesial, in the double sense that it springs from community life and always refers back to it. We can never represent Him in His entirety: there’s something lacking in what I show of Christ. Ecclesial representation therefore calls on its privileged bearers to humility, authentic chastity in their relational life and ongoing personal conversion.
