<br/><br/> Le statut de victime est éminemment ambigu. Il faut certes reconnaître la victime, qui s’est trop longtemps tue à l’ombre de la peur et du silence. Cependant, ce statut implique une réduction de l’être humain au subir, une passivité absolue face au déterminisme d’un destin, bref une essence. Or, la victime, celle qui a survécu, a su traverser l’épreuve de ce moment tragique. Il ne faut donc pas lui dénier la dignité de sujet. Et que dire de la fascination qu’exerce le bourreau sur la victime, tentée à son tour d’entrer dans le cycle inépuisable et sanglant de la vengeance ? Ce sont toutes ces facettes qu’analyse cet article qui propose des issues possibles au tragique sans cesse rejoué de l’histoire humaine.  The victim or out of the circle of vengeance The condition of a victim is highly ambiguous. It is of course necessary to acknowledge the victim who remained silent for too long in the shades of fear and silence. However this condition implies that the human being is diminished to « being used», an absolute passivity in the face of destiny determinism, in short, an essence. Now the victim, the one who survived, managed to pass the trial of this tragic moment. So her dignity as a subject must not be denied. Moreover, what can be said about the fascination exerted by the torturer on his victim ? All those facets are analyzed in this article offering possible solutions to the ever-tragic human history.
