Le contre-tranfert silencieux de l’analyste qui identifie intérieurement la symbolisation à l’œuvre permet à la patiente de nommer celle-ci et de se trouver libérée de sa souffrance physique.  A patient somatising chronic, incurable pain in the side experiences sudden release during a highly individual session. The silent counter-transference of the analyst who inwardly identifies the symbolisation at work enables the patient to name the latter and therefore free herself from her physical suffering.
