The Phobia and the Real of the Father

<br/><br/> Based on a fragment of a young woman’s analysis, the article emphasises the significant dimension of phobia as a symptom and its special place in the subjective economy. It seeks to link phobia with a failure of the real father’s significance for which the phobic object comes in to compensate. The phobic symptom seems to be a call on the real father.
