The Unspeakable Secret between Parents with HIV and Their Children - 2007.

7

For the parents, the secret about the HIV guarantees a value of protection. In a magic way, this secret preserves the infant-parent relationship and seems to warrant filial love. Any explanation on HIV brings the child face to face with such fundamental questions as that of the origins, filiation, sexuality and death. The parents consider the topicality of sexuality at the adolescence as a favourable period to the revelation, as if the risk of contamination which is anew possible, should untie the chain of the secret. From a clinical situation, we shall analyse the function of the virus in the relationship process within a familial group.
