<br/><br/> Based on the film The 400 blows, considered as family clinical material, the author analyses the family intersubjective links’dynamics and their evolution, alongside the development of an elective link of friendship between the adolescent hero of the movie and one of his peers. The family links, marked by hatred, seduction and ascendancy, will be able to loosen themselves thanks to the support given by this peer who is also his mirror image. Getting out of submission requires imprisonment first so that the hero’s independence and creativity can blossom.
