N1 - 6 N2 - The ability to imitate is a readily available skill that humans have, one that provides fundamental functions for development. This research highlights the fact that it is not impossible for autistic children to develop the ability to imitate. We measured spontaneous and induced imitation, as well as the recognition of being imitated, in two groups of autistic children from Tunisia aged between 6 and 11 years with light/medium asd and with severe asd. All of these children, regardless of the severity of their disorder, were capable of engaging in at least one form of imitation UR - https://shs.cairn.info/journal-empan-2019-3-page-126?lang=en&redirect-ssocas=7080 ER -
