Websites Bearing Digitized Manuscripts: What Consideration Is Being Given to the Non-Expert Public? - 2016.

15

Our research work questions the mediations offered to the non-expert public on websites bearing digitized manuscripts. We wish to question how a device enabling access to digital collections, conceived by specialists in literature, can meet the mediation needs of the non-expert public. To do this, we shall analyze various websites bearing digitized manuscripts, paying attention to their graphic communications strategies as well as deployment strategies from documentary collections. Recourse to digital technology tends to complicate the proposed organization of knowledge and reveals hesitant communication strategies.
