N2  - Notre contribution esquisse la démonstration de l’hypothèse que devenir n’est pas un « verbe d’état » comme les autres ( être, paraître, sembler, etc.). Du fait des contraintes qui atteignent l’attribut qui le suit, on peut l’assimiler à un verbe prédicatif plutôt qu’à une « copule » ou à un « verbe support ». Devenir présente un caractère aspectuel original, qui explique ses compatibilités et incompatibilités distributionnelles, et constitue le lieu de contraintes que ne connaissent pas ses supposés homologues; The attributive structure with ‘devenir’ as marked construction in the underdetermined cluster of sentences of the Noun-Verb of State- Adjective patternThis paper is an attempt to bear out the hypothesis that devenir is not to be likened to such “stative verbs” as ( être, paraître, sembler, etc.). Devenir’s distinctive trait is an aspectual character accounting for its distributional compatibilities and incompatibilities, and is the site of constraints not met by its supposed counterparts
