<br/><br/> Thomas d’Aquin a défendu l’idée qu’on devait nécessairement préserver et comprendre le langage dans son aspect matériel, sans le déléguer à une pure forme ni à une transcendance propre. En suivant son premier maître Pierre d’Irlande, il s’est attaché à la puissance d’adaptation mise en œuvre par l’homme parlant, contre les tenants d’un troisième monde indépendant des pensées et du monde.  Thomas Aquinas defended the idea that language had to be preserved and understood on its material side without delegating it to a mere form, nor to a transcendence of its own. In step with Peter of Ireland, his first Master, he set out to show the power of adaptation displayed by Man when speaking, as against the advocates of a third world detached from thoughts and from the real world.
