Le travail du rêve et la voie clinique viendront, d’une part, révéler les tourments induits par la violence de l’idéal religieux, et d’autre part rendre intelligibles les motifs inconscients à teneur hautement conflictuelle travestis en croyances inattaquables, bastions d’une résistance massive. L’idéal de pureté venant se conjuguer aux interdits religieux, des contenus psychiques enclavés peuvent maintenir certains sujets dans une incompréhension absolue, les laissant en panne d’historisation. Cette réflexion mènera l’auteur à s’interroger également sur le modèle idéal, ou idéalisé, de l’analyse des processus inconscients, laquelle trouvera pourtant sa limite dans la cure par l’incarnation du transfert, cet intrus avec lequel l’analyste doit aussi composer; How does the religious ideal break into the analytical setting? On the one hand, the dream work and the clinical course reveal the turmoil induced by the violence of religious ideals, while on the other hand making intelligible the highly conflictual unconscious patterns which are disguised as unassailable beliefs, being bastions of a massive resistance. As the ideal of purity becomes combined with religious prohibitions, locked psychic elements can keep certain subjects in a state of total confusion, leaving them without any historicisation. This reflection leads the author to consider the ideal, or idealized, model of the analysis of unconscious processes and its limitation in the treatment by the presence of transference, an intruder which the analyst must take into account
