N2  - Jamal Al-Banna, décédé en 2013, a appelé depuis 1946 au renouveau de l’islam. Il appelait à un retour à un islam coranique face à ce qu’il considérait comme un islam des clercs, des salafistes. Ainsi, il encourage l’homme à faire usage de sa raison. En effet, loin de pouvoir se limiter à imiter ou suivre, l’homme devrait engager une part de lui-même dans la compréhension du message, car l’islam, comme religion et communauté, met tout croyant face à sa responsabilité.
