N2  - L’A. étudie les moyens pris par l’Eglise pour résoudre la fracture du Grand Schisme d’Occident (1378-1417) au sein de l’ Ecclesia romana. Cet angle d’approche des racines diocésaines du schisme rend compte des soubassements théoriques des décrets adoptés à Constance pour le résorber : 1/ révision des fondements de l’unité ecclésiale et de la notion de schisme ; 2/ développement du pouvoir conciliaire basé sur la repraesentatio ; 3/ interprétation des conflits en termes de Dignitas et Corpus mysticum. Ce qui invite à réfléchir aujourd’hui à la repraesentatio ecclésiale, à définir plus théologiquement le cardinalat et à intégrer l’impact œcuménique de Constance; The A. studies the means which the Church has taken in order to heal the fracture of the Great Schism (1378-1417) in the bosom of the Ecclesia romana. In considering the diocesan roots of the schism, he uncovers the theoretical foundations of the decrees which the Council of Constance has adopted in order to resorb it : 1) revision of the roots of the ecclesial unity and of the notion of schism ; 2) expansion of the conciliar power based on the repraesentatio ; 3) interpretation of the conflicts in terms of dignitas and corpus mysticum. This study invites us a) to reflect on the ecclesial repraesentatio ; b) to define, in a more theological way, the notion of cardinalate ; c) to incorporate the ecumenical relevance of the Council of Constance
