<br/><br/> Malade, l’universitaire français Jacques Sys s’est hâté, comme on jette une bouteille à la mer, de publier un recueil de poèmes. Il est de fait décédé moins d’un an plus tard. Parmi les thèmes abordés dans l’ouvrage, il y a la confrontation avec la mort. Après un temps de refus, l’auteur opte pour la lucidité : il verra le terrible devant lui, mais aussi la lumière. Un pas plus loin, pour s’être greffé sur Ph 2,6-11, cet homme décide de « descendre méthodiquement », non pas seul, mais avec le Vivant et à sa suite.  In his illness, the French academic Jacques Sys hastened to publish a collection of poems just as one might throw a bottle into the sea. In fact he died less than a year later. Among the themes touched on in the book there is the confrontation with death. After a time of denial, the author opts for lucidity : he will see the terrible thing before him, but also the light. A step further, in order to identify himself with Phil 2, 6-11, this man decides to “go down methodically”, not alone, but with the Living One and in His footsteps.
