<br/><br/> Dans son immense œuvre théologique, Jean Calvin aborde à deux reprises la prophétie d’Ézéchiel des « ossements desséchés » (Ez 37,1-14). Dans ses Sermons de 1554, il s’en tient à une application morale, le redressement de l’Église dans l’histoire ; dans l’ Institution, c’est l’interprétation eschatologique qui prévaut : Ézéchiel parlait de la résurrection finale. Nous proposons donc l’exposé de ces interprétations et une évaluation critique.  John Calvin, Francis de Sales and the Dry Bones Prophecy (Ezek 37) – First Part: Calvin’s InterpretationsIn his immense theological work, John Calvin confronted himself twice with the “Dry Bones Prophecy” (Ezek. 37:1-14). In his Sermons delivered in 1554, he offered a moral application, which consists in the rising of the Church within history. In the Institutes prevails the eschatological interpretation: Ezekiel spoke about the final resurrection. This article analyses such interpretations with a critical Évaluation.
