N2  - RésuméDu Palais-Royal au Palais-Bourbon, la trajectoire qu’emprunte Léon Blum le fait figurer parmi les juristes les plus en vue que compte la Chambre des députés durant l’entre-deux-guerres. Pourtant, il ne faut pas s’y méprendre. Sur l’ensemble de la période, l’homme politique, secrétaire puis bientôt président du groupe socialiste, occulte pour l’essentiel l’ancien magistrat. Il ne s’agit donc pas ici de déterminer si Blum se comporte ou non en juriste dans l’hémicycle, une telle approche serait par trop emprunte de stéréotypes. Cette étude se propose plus modestement de montrer en quoi sa longue carrière au Conseil d’État a pu être prégnante sur la manière dont l’homme aborda, par la suite, l’institution parlementaire, notamment lors de l’interminable débat sur la réforme de l’État; From the “Palais Royal” (seat of the Council of State) to the “Palais-Bourbon” (seat of the House of Commons), Leon Blum’s career leads him to become one of the most famous lawyers at the House of Commons between the two world wars. However, one should not mistake there. On the whole of the period, the former magistrate appears more as the politician, secretary and then soon president of the socialist group,. It is not thus a question of determining whether Blum behaves or not as a lawyer in the hemicycle. Such an approach would be by far too obvious and stereotyped. More modestly, this study aims to demonstrate to what extend his long carrer with the Council of State has influenced the way he will later approach the parliamentary institution, in particular at the time of the endless debate on the reform of the State
