<br/><br/> Les gauches françaises portent un regard contrasté mais souvent méfiant à l’égard du sport et de ses manifestations ; en revanche, elles accordent une attention soutenue à l’éducation. À la charnière de ces deux domaines, l’enseignement de l’EPS constitue donc un terrain propice à l’étude de leurs ambitions et de leurs contradictions en matière éducative et sportive.  The French Left has a contrasting but often distrustful view of sport and its manifestations; on the other hand, they pay close attention to education. At the crossroads of these two domains, the teaching of physical education and sport therefore constitutes a favourable terrain for the study of their ambitions and contradictions in educational and sporting matters.
