N2  - Resumé Si l’approche psychosomatique n’est pas prise en compte dans la démarche thérapeutique, elle risque d’entraîner certains patients dans une voie sans issue. Le corps est susceptible de représenter un puissant instrument de médiation dans la relation thérapeutique. De par les symptômes qu’elle véhicule, il peut porter l’inscription de profonds conflits psychiques dont l’éclairage va étroitement s’articuler à une véritable écoute de la problématique du consultant au-delà de ce qui est proposé comme matériel clinique dans l’immédiat. Les plaintes somatiques constituent parfois l’expression cachée de revendications narcissiques. Les auteurs rapportent l’histoire pathologique d’une femme de 37 ans, prise dans une union tumultueuse désapprouvée par une belle famille versée dans les résolutions maraboutiques des difficultés existentielles.
