<br/><br/> RésuméCet article retrace succinctement les grandes étapes de la pensée du philosophe français autodidacte, André Gorz. Il montre qu’il a grandement contribué à établir la pertinence de l’héritage marxien par l’adoption d’une lecture hétérodoxe, via l’existentialisme et la phénoménologie, des textes du Capital et des Grundrisse, qui rompait avec le stalinisme et certaines des dimensions les plus problématiques de l’œuvre de Marx lui-même ; notamment leur déterminisme et leur culte de la production, du travail et du prolétariat. Ce faisant, il a fourni des bases théoriques à un socialisme véritablement démocratique ainsi qu’à l’écologie politique en France.  This article provides a brief overview of the main stages in the development of the thought of independent French philosopher, André Gorz. It establishes that, thanks to an existentialist and phenomenological approach, he has made a major contribution to securing the contemporary relevance of the Marxian legacy by offering a heterodox reading of Das Capital and the Grundrisse, which broke from Stalinism and certain aspects of Marx’s thesis itself ; in particular, their determinism and their cult of Production, Labour and the Proletariat. In so doing, he has laid the theoretical foundations of both a truly Democratic Socialism and of current Green thought in France.
