<br/><br/> RésuméDans le Nord-Pas-de-Calais, l’intérêt pour la période de l’Âge du Fer a été progressif. Les années soixante-dix sont marquées par un véritable dynamisme de la recherche qui renouvelle les connaissances. Jusqu’à présent, aucune réflexion n’avait été menée sur la production d’objets en fer qui a pourtant servi à caractériser la protohistoire récente. L’utilisation du fer est attestée, les objets retrouvés sur les sites en témoignent. Cependant, les données ne sont pas suffisantes pour penser à la présence d’atelier de forge dans la région. Il est toutefois possible de penser que les habitants possédaient le savoir-faire minimum pour entretenir et réparer les objets en fer.  Iron Metallurgy in Recent Protohistory in the Nord—Pas-de-Calais RegionIn the Nord—Pas-de-Calais, interest in the Iron Age period has developed gradually. The 1970s were characterized by a surge in research that re-evaluated what was hitherto assumed. To date, no real thought was given to the production of iron artefacts, although this production was amongst the foremost features of this period. The use of iron can not be questioned and is evidenced by the finding of iron implements on sites. Yet, the data that were collected are not enough to assume that there were ironworks and smelting in the region. One can all the same think that its inhabitants possessed the skills necessary to carry out the basic maintenance and repair-work of iron objects.
