La dimension maritime est un atout en ces temps troublés et la France dispose avec ses terres ultramarines et sa ZEE d’un espace essentiel pour renforcer sa résilience. À condition d’assumer sa dimension océanique.  Contrary to appearances the sea has offered protection from the pandemic, which has spread over land and through air travel. The maritime aspect is an advantage in these troubled times, and with its sovereign sea areas and its EEZ France possesses the essential room for manœuvre to support its resilience—on condition, that is, that France accepts its oceanic dimension.
