<br/><br/> La Nouvelle-Calédonie et l’Indonésie ont en commun l’exploitation du nickel. Le secteur du premier est désormais en crise suite à la concurrence du second, plus compétitif sur le marché. Or, le nickel pèse pour 94 % de ses exportations : pour Nouméa, il s’agit d’un enjeu politique majeur avec le risque d’un effondrement de cette industrie, d’où l’obligation d’entamer une réflexion collective pour sortir du « tout nickel »  New Caledonia and Indonesia are both nickel-producing countries. The industry of the first is in crisis as a result of competition from the second, which is more competitive in the market. And yet nickel accounts for 94 per cent of New Caledonian exports, which makes it a major political stake for Noumea in view of the risk of collapse of the industry. Thus, there is a need to apply collective consideration to evolving from this nickel-dependent trade environment.
