<br/><br/> Les réformes menées dans une perspective de modernisation, puis de rationalisation de l’institution judiciaire se caractérisent par une plus grande sensibilité aux notions d’efficience, de coût et de qualité du service rendu. Visant à renforcer la légitimité et l’efficacité de la justice, ces processus volontaristes destinés à promouvoir des changements organisationnels, institutionnels et professionnels reposent sur la mobilisation d’acteurs judiciaires, politiques et administratifs, aux intérêts partiellement convergents, qui regroupent entrepreneurs de réforme issus des professionnels du droit et promoteurs des réformes de l’État et de son administration. Les responsables de juridiction sont les vecteurs au niveau local de ces orientations réformatrices, explicitement en Belgique depuis l’institution du Conseil supérieur de la justice, plus informellement en F rance et en Italie.  Politicians and Judges in the face of Justice Reforms in Belgium, France and ItalyReforms that are designed to bring about the modernisation and then rationalisation of judicial institutions are characterised by greater receptiveness to the notions of efficiency, cost and quality of services provided. These pro-active processes aim to strengthen the legitimacy and efficiency of justice, and promote organisational, institutional and professional change. They depend upon the mobilisation of judicial, political and administrative actors, and partly convergent interests bringing champions of reform in the legal profession together with those from the state and its administration. Those in charge of jurisdictions are the drivers of these reforming policies at local level, specifically so at the Council for J ustice in Belgium, and more informally in France and Italy.
