Rationalité selon la fin et rationalité selon la valeur dans les "Cahiers de la prison" - 1988.

Gramsci's thinking is crossed with a profound contradiction between a tendancy to reduce practical rationality to a simple goal-rationality, and an opposite tendancy which bases the communist project on a clear recognition of value-rationality. The problematic aspects of this thinking is the result of the first orientation. What stays alive takes roots in the opposed tendancy which referes to the universal values of human emancipation.
