N2  - Pascal tient un double discours sur la vérité. Parfois, en bon cartésien, il souligne que la méthode est indispensable. Parfois, en bon augustinien, il répète qu’on n’entre dans la vérité que par la charité. Il s’agira donc dans cette étude de comprendre l’articulation pascalienne de la méthode et de la charité dans la recherche de la vérité. Dans une approche résolument herméneutique, éclairés par Heidegger et Gadamer, en examinant notamment le concept pascalien de figure, nous verrons Pascal mettre progressivement en place une réflexion herméneutique sur l’amour et son rôle dans le cercle herméneutique. Pour Pascal, si toute compréhension est affectée, seule la charité rend possible l’herméneutique figurative, donc l’entrée dans la vérité; Pascal has a double discourse on the truth. Sometimes, as a good Cartesian, he emphasizes that method is indispensable. Sometimes, as a good Augustinian, he repeats that one enters into truth only through charity. This study will therefore strive to understand the Pascalian articulation of method and charity in the search for truth. In a resolutely hermeneutic approach, enlightened by Heidegger and Gadamer, examining in particular the Pascalian concept of figure, we see Pascal progressively put in place a hermeneutical reflection on love and its role in the hermeneutic circle. For Pascal, if all understanding is affected, only charity makes figurative hermeneutics, thus the entry into the truth, possible
