N2  - Cet article est le produit d’une coopération entre un directeur d’établissements du social et une sociologue, qui se connaissent depuis longtemps pour travailler ensemble à l’université, l’un en tant qu’intervenant dans une licence professionnelle « Intervention sociale », l’autre en tant que responsable de ce diplôme. Ensemble, l’une et l’autre livrent ici un témoignage sur les conditions actuelles de travail et d’emploi dans le secteur sanitaire et social à partir d’une situation locale d’établissements. Sans prétendre à une quelconque généralisation des descriptions, l’article rend compte de réalités de terrain qui « parleront » certainement à beaucoup de travailleurs sociaux, placés à tous les niveaux de la hiérarchie de leur organisation; This article is the result of a collaboration between a director of social services and a sociologist, who have known each other for a long time and have worked together at university, one as a lecturer in a professional diploma in “Social Intervention”, the other as director of this diploma. Together, they offer a testimony on current working and employment conditions in the health and social care sector, based on a local situation in a number of establishments. Without claiming to generalise the descriptions, it gives an account of the realities in the field that will certainly “speak” to many social workers, at all levels of their organisation’s hierarchy
