On pourrait dire que ces angoisses ont contribué à la création d’une ambiance hostile non seulement à une réforme psychiatrique mais aussi à l’introduction de la psychanalyse en Grèce.  Reflections on the Institutionalism and the De-institutionalism of a Greek Island. The Case of Leros Asylum. The author examines the function given to the asylum of Leros as a receptacle of the primitive anxieties that dominated Greece during the years immediately following the war. It could be argued that these anxieties led to the creation of a general feeling of hostility not only towards psychiatric reform but also to the introduction of psychoanalysis in Greece.
