<br/><br/> Les différentes formes contemporaines du couple (mariage, Pacs, mariage pour tous, concubinage, union libre, etc.) rappellent que les rapports légitimes ou informels entre les sexes sont en constante évolution. Les conflits idéologiques, juridiques, religieux, culturels au sujet de l’ordre sociétal, familial, marital, sexuel témoignent surtout de la conflictualité même de la mise en couple et de ses difficultés : différences d’âge ou de statut social, compatibilité des goûts et des opinions, jalousie, cohabitation, éducation des enfants, etc.  The different forms which couples take on in contemporary society (marriage, civil partnership, gay marriage, common-law couples, cohabitation, etc.) remind us that both the legitimate and informal relations between the sexes are constantly evolving. Conflicts, be they ideological, legal, religious or cultural concerning the social, family, marital or sexual order bear witness to the conflictual nature of forming a couple and its inherent difficulties – differences in age or social status, compatibility of taste or opinion, jealousy, living together, bringing up children etc.
