<br/><br/> This article analyzes the place that Carl Schmitt gives to revolutionary violence for understanding the political character of Marxism. After appreciating for public law the idea of dictatorship among the Bolsheviks, the German jurist associated it with the concept of violence in Lenin. However, this concept of violence seems overdetermined by the thinking of Georges Sorel.  Cet article revient sur la place que Carl Schmitt donne à la violence révolutionnaire pour la compréhension du caractère politique du marxisme. Après avoir valorisé le renouveau du concept de dictature chez les bolcheviques, le juriste allemand l’associe au concept de violence chez Lénine. Cependant, ce concept de violence semble en réalité surdéterminé par la pensée de Georges Sorel.
