L’expérience qui l’a structurée est celle du théâtre d’enfants d’Orel, dont Benjamin élabore rétrospectivement le programme pour Berlin. L’étude analyse comment ce programme s’empare de l’expérience d’Orel pour opérer une critique de l’éducation enfantine afin de la centrer sur sa dynamique métamorphique, seule légitime à préserver sa force révolutionnaire, dont le théâtre d’enfants est l’incarnation radicale; The relationship between Asja Lacis and Walter Benjamin revolved around theater, between staging and critical conceptualization.
