Le Musée de la Ville de Bruxelles, en abritant en son sein la restauration d’une des œuvres majeures de sa collection, a orchestré un chantier de près de 2 ans. Cette communication retracera les grandes étapes de ce chantier, son origine, les moyens qui ont été mis en œuvre et les nombreuses collaborations qui ont permis d’aboutir à la renaissance de cette œuvre d’exception; The restoration of Pieter Coecke’s tapestry cartoon: a major project The restoration of a monumental work is a challenge in many respects, including financial, spatial, professional and didactic. In housing the restoration of one of the major works in its collection, the Museum of the City of Brussels engineered a project lasting almost two years. This talk will retrace the major stages in this project, its origin, the resources used and the many partnerships that allowed us to renovate this exceptional work
