N2  - Cette contribution fait état d’un travail en cours et présente une étape de cette recherche. Elle propose une approche originale des crises et insiste sur la nécessité de penser ces phénomènes singuliers à partir du prisme des perceptions. Notre hypothèse est double : elle part tout d’abord du principe que les travaux qui ont été développés en Relations internationales sur les perceptions et les analyses du processus de décision sont utiles pour penser la rationalité dans les processus de prise de décision en situation de crise. Elle consiste ensuite à affirmer que les processus de décision en situation de crise, dans un certain nombre de cas, ne peuvent pas être analysés en termes de rationalité instrumentale, parfaite ou limitée, mais que, face à l’incertitude radicale que véhicule la crise, ils doivent être abordés en termes de rationalité interprétative. Cette contribution proposera également une brève analyse de l’« affaire Merah » au travers de l’opposition entre rationalité instrumentale et rationalité interprétative; This contribution refers to a work in progress and presents a stage of this research. It offers an original approach of crisis and insists on the necessity to think these singular phenomena from the prism of perceptions. Our hypothesis is twofold : firstly it considers that analyses on perceptions and decision-making processes, developed in International Relations, are useful to think the rationality of decision-making processes in crisis situations. Secondly it affirms that decision-making processes in crisis situations, in some cases, cannot be analyzed in terms of instrumental, perfect or limited rationality, but confronted with the radical uncertainty of the crisis, they must be tackle in terms of interpretative rationality. This contribution will also propose a brief analysis of the « Merah case » through the opposition between instrumental rationality and interpretative rationality
