EU-US green initiatives: Opportunities and challenges for the future of transatlantic green partnerships
Type de matériel :

After the 2018 IPCC special report on the impacts of global warming of 1.5 degrees Celsius above pre-industrial levels, global leaders and the international community have promoted climate mitigation policies. Many countries have released strategies to address climate change and meet the objectives of the Paris Agreement. The European Union and South Korea were the first to launch a holistic green deal, while Japan and China have announced net-zero emissions commitments. The United States is still defining its posture after the end of the Trump presidency. In light of the critical need for international cooperation on climate change, green partnerships between the European Union and the United States—as traditional allies but also large emitters—could foster greater and faster climate change mitigation developments on the global stage.
